HERE I AM!!

I have been incredibly naughty and not blogged for ages! Apologies!

I have been working for the last three weeks at Kew Gardens and every morning when I get to work, I delight in how lucky I am to work in such a beautiful gardens! The glasshouses here are massive and gorgeous and filled with all sorts of exotic plants! I even discovered an aquarium with nemos underneath one of the glasshouses! So now I can visit them and dont miss my own little tank so much!

We have a group of guinea fowl who are called "The Nutters" on account that they chase after the Kew Explorer (little road train) to get the peanuts the driver throws them! They are hysterical, making gobbling noises and playing kamikaze with the explorer! We also have coots with tiny tiny cootlings, an assortment of ducks and birds, squirrels and apparently foxes and badgers, though I havent seen any of those yet!

And the other day I saw the most amazing blue and black dragonfly!

Living in london seems so familiar now - its amazing how quickly you adapt to changing scenarios! I am still living at Riccardos, I have found another movie buff to watch weird arsed arthouse movies with! Am desparaelt trying to find somewhere to live asit will be such a luxury to unpack all my things and have an iron! (bet you never thought you would here me say that - but I need to look swish for work, who knows, I just may bump into a rich lord! Imagine me being a lady!!!!!!!!!!!!) So Riccardo has been amazingly generous and is quite pragmatic and supportive when i go through one of my what am i doing here moments!

The staff at Kew are great, with an inspiring diversity of people from around the world. It is funny to come up against different colloquialisms, I ask people for things and they have no idea what I am talking about! Apparently is not gladwrap but clingfilm! I have already b een invited to one of the guys at works wedding (when he finds a wife he tells me) as I was raving about wanting to go to a real indian wedding!

Well its almost time for me to catch my train to work, I must admit i am a teensy bit hungover as we all went to the pub after work, The rose and crown on kew green!

Promise to write again soon as I have lots to tell!
