If there is only one city you can visit in Spain, it must be Granada! The Alhambra is magnificent! So magnificent - that I had tears in my eyes here too! The Alhambra is a palace built when Spain was under Islamic rule and it's beauty and sheer size make it a must see!
The intricate detailing on the walls and peaceful garden courtyards truly evoke a sense of paradise. Everywhere there are tricking fountains of water, even in the palace rooms! The islams believe paradise is a garden, and the gardens here perfectly justify that belief. Granada is hot in summer, but meandering through the gardens, a sense of coolness pervades one.
I took heaps of photos here, but am disappointed to say because of camera problems, hardly any worked out! So you will just have to go see for yourself!
My mission is to take my mama here next year!
